Alcohol policy

An alcohol policy has been made for the department's staff and students. The policy has been approved by the local liaison committee (LSU).

Courses

The department has prepared guidelines for competence development. The guidelines has been approved by the Local Liaison Commitee (LSU) and can be read here.

Aarhus University regularly offers courses that may be relevant for you. If there are not courses on offer which match your Parental lecompetency development wishes, then please contact HR about your wishes.

PhD students and research year students

Parental leave

In connection with parental leave, adoption or the like, you should be aware that there are various guidelines and forms depending on the specific circumstances.

Please remember to fill in the relevant forms well in advance.

Policy for pregnancy  

Staff development dialogue - SDD

The staff development dialogue is your opportunity to have an annual dialogue with your immediate supervisor on your work situation and career plans. This may e.g. include:

  • Alignment of expectations in relation to work tasks
  • Academic and career objectives
  • Competency development
  • Cooperative relations
  • Well-being

For use in the SDD:

  • The departments pamphlet about stress.
  • Leaflet on handling offensive behavior

Teaching portfolio

All employees with teaching obligations are asked to complete the Teaching portfolio before the SDD.

WPA - Workplace Assessment

Every third year Aarhus University will conduct a Workplace Assessment (WPA). The last time was in 2025.

You can read more about the WPA process at Aarhus University´s site for WPA and the Faculty´s site for WPA, where you also can see the last WPA. 

In connection with the WPA, the department will have a follow-group.

The purpose of the follow-up group is to represent The local occupational health and safety committee (LAMU) and Local Liaison Committee (LSU) and make recommendations for decisions by the department management in relation to WPA. The group has the following specific tasks:

  • Preparing a timeline and process plan for the department in connection with WPA 2025.
  • Discussing participants in the WPA
  • Discussing changes in the organizational hierarchy.
  • Following up on action plans.
  • Evaluating the WPA process.
