Access to AU systems

In order to access different systems at AU, you must be registered in the Identity Management System, IDM. Your department's personal data editor will enter the necessary information. 

You will be registered in IDM during the appointment process; however, if this is not the case, you should contact the department's personal data editor as soon as possible.

Appointment procedures


Before being offered employment at Aarhus University, you must complete a recommendation form (in Danish), which is sent to the employee who is responsible for the recommendation for appointment.

Statement of no previous convictions in respect of children 

HR obtains the statement in connection with appointments where this is appropriate. 

PhD students and research year students

There are special rules in relation to phD students and research year students. These appointments are the responsibility of the Graduate School. Read more about PhD-recruitment and the research year. 


Parental leave

In connection with parental leave, adoption or the like, you should be aware that there are various guidelines and forms depending on the specific circumstances.


Please remember to fill in the relevant forms in plenty of time.
